Take a moment and think back over the school year.  Did you volunteer to help out at an event, send in a donation or food for an event, purchase an item sold to raise funds by the PTO, or coordinate and man an event?  If you did we THANK YOU! For the 2016-2017 school year we were able to do the following awesome things:

  • Gave a free book to every student  at the spring book fair.
  • Provide funds to each grade to use towards a field trip, grade celebration or supplies for the students.
  • Donated funds to purchase “big ticket” items for the 8th grade auction.
  • Collected donations to be used in the 8th grade auction.
  • Fully paid for any 8th grade student that wanted to attend the 8th grade dance.  This included a professional DJ, photo booth, buffet dinner, photographer, and take home carnations.
  • Provided desserts and water at the 8th grade recognition night.
  • In conjunction with The Bridge Church, supplied breakfast for the honor roll students.
  • Provided a breakfast buffet morning and dessert day during teacher appreciation week.

This is by no means a complete list of what the PTO did.  Just the larger events.  All of these things could not be achieved without volunteers.  Thank you for everything you did and we hope you will continue to help, when you can.  There are some people that we need to thank personally as their efforts should not go unnoticed.

  • Special thanks to Jo Olson and her 8th grade events committee of Janet Marczyk, Deana Colon, Beth Evitts, Nancy Chandler, and Leslie Mannis.  The dance was a huge success and you should all be proud of what you accomplished.
  • Thank you to Jorie Howard for always finding new Dine & Share locations and attending every one of them personally!
  • Thank you to Principal Reinke and Assistant Principal Jensen.  You supported and guided the PTO throughout the year.
